ANBO Candle Care

WELCOME TO OUR JOURNEY!

We want you to have a great candle experience as much as we had fun creating it for you. Here are some important tips on how to properly care and maintain your ANBO candles:

CANDLE SAFETY TIPS

1. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
2. Never burn a candle on or near anything that might catch fire.
3. Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
4. Burn candles on a stable & heat-resistance surface in a well-ventilated room.
5. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
6. Never touch or move a burning candle.
7. Discontinue use of a candle when 6-8mm of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel. This will prevent possible heat damage to the counter/surface or container itself.

STORE CANDLE PROPERLY

Store candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or intense light. Keeping it in a dark place like a cupboard or box will protect it from fading and discoloration. Keep the wood cover lid on the candle to prevent dust from sticking on the wax.

DONE BURNING YOUR ANBO CANDLES?
DON'T THROW YOUR VESSEL AWAY - HERE'S HOW YOU CAN CLEAN IT UP & GIVE IT A NEW LIFE.

Here are some quick steps on how you can remove the remaining wax before repurposing your candle vessels.

FOR CONCRETE VESSEL

Watch the step-by-step guide here on how to remove remaining wax from your concrete vessel for repurposing.

When your ANBO candle burn life is up, pour a very hot water into your vessels until it fills up close to the brim and swish it around a bit and then let it sit for a few minutes.

Pour the hot water out (carefully) & wipe out any remaining wax  with a rag or paper towel. Or you can scoop them up with a spoon. DO NOT dump them in the sink, it will clog up.

You can remove the wood wick tab with your finger nail or dull utensils.
You can also use a spoon and carefully pick it out.

ANBO Candle Clean
Simply use some isopropyl alcohol or hand sanitiser to wipe up remaining wax residue or soot away. Lastly, wash it clean with soap and let it dry.

FOR GLASS / CERAMIC VESSEL

POP IT IN THE FREEZER
Freezing shrinks the wax. Place the candle vessel in the freezer overnight. Take them out of the freezer and flip it upside down - the chunk of wax should pop right out.

If it doesn't, use a spoon or butter knife to press down on one corner of the wax to lift and remove. Wash off any residue with soap and water - and you're good to go!

There is no limit to what you can do! You can try turning them into a pot planter, pencil cup, bathroom canister, or more! We love seeing how you give your candle vessels a second life - tag us on instagram @anbo.my so we can see your creation! :)
